The Easton High School Latin Honor Society is partnering with The Hopeful Campaign to host a Togathon fundraising event, starting at 6 p.m. on February 20 and 21 to support mental health services in the schools. Pictured are committee members of the planning committee for the event.

The Hopeful Campaign and EHS Latin Honor Society have joined forces to present Togathon, an online fundraiser to raise support for mental health services in our schools. The six-hour live stream will take place in three-hour sessions on February 20th and 21st beginning at 6 p.m. each evening. There will be performances by local talent, school clubs, and community organizations, including music, comedy, wrestling, and more. To watch the live stream and follow the event: www.facebook.com/Togathon2021.

Richard Marks of Dock Street Foundation states, “We are excited to extend the Hopeful campaign, now in partnership with students from EHS who approached us and asked if they could help. We welcome their support and awareness of the need for permanent mental health staffing in our schools.”

As of the end of December, the Mid-Shore COVID-19 Response Fund had awarded $927,850 to 94 organizations on the Mid-Shore who have been impacted by the Coronavirus and affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic. Organizations in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties are invited to apply to the Fund.

"MSCF appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with the Hopeful Campaign to remind our community to stay Hopeful during the COVID-19 pandemic while also raising funds for our COVID-19 Response Fund," comments Buck Duncan, President, Mid-Shore Community Foundation.

"Dock Street’s Hopeful signs resonated with us and lifted our spirits each time we saw one. My husband Jim and I gladly support the Hopeful 2020 Project. Please consider contributing to the Hopeful Campaign into 2021 with a primary focus on providing important mental health services in our community,” shares Hopeful Campaign donor Pam Harris.

The Hopeful Campaign has reached half of its $100,000 goal, raising $50,000 for the Mid-Shore COVID-19 Response. Marks noted, “It was heartening to see so many supporters donating at the Farmers’ Market Hopeful table week after week in addition to the generous contributions received on our website and at Sprout locations and Vintage Books.”
